ASET Corporation HISTORY





ASET Asian Semiconductor Electronics Technologies (ASET) Corporation was organized in August 1994 by a group of former officers from a semiconductor electronics company which was once one of the two biggest semiconductor companies in the Philippines.

ASET has grown to be an organization of 80 employees, with an annual potential sales capability of US$1.0 million and is expected to double its sales by the end of 2005. The shareholders of the company are very much committed to the company's mission and vision.

ASET's mission is to be the most reliable alternative in cost effective manufacturing, harnessing employee's initiative and participation and utilizing technical techniques to attain total customer satisfaction.

Initially, Allegro Microsystems Phils., Inc. commissioned ASET to provide it with a cost effective assembly of discrete components. Afterward, ASET diversified in other assembly works in thick film hybrid assembly and tiny crystal oscillator assembly for MF Electronics in New York, USA. Since then ASET has diversified to sequential test and magnet attach. ASET ventured into low volume board stuffing assembly and test in the area of motor control for a company in Switzerland. This relationship eventually developed into design arrangements for said company. Since then, ASET has done high volume leadframe cutting, downsetting and inspection for TSPIC-ATMEL using consigned TSPIC-ATMEL high speed press and toolings.
